Initially, my project revolved around the legality of urbex and how it is a civil matter, which means that only the owner of the property can choose to press charges, which they can’t do if they never knew you were there as the location is abandoned, so it is really easy to reap the benefits of the fun of exploration, I also looked into and experienced why urbex is so appealing. To go a step further, I tested how to show the methods of accessing these places and how to do so safely in certain situations. Once partaking in urbex and general exploration I realised that the best parts of going to such places were the explorative nature and the discovery of the different and unusual. Another really important this I concluded is that most people live life on a rollercoaster when they should be living in a car where they choose where to go, questioning your environment and its limits instead of staying in a bubble your whole life. Finally, I realised that the most important thing to be in this abandoned-filled world is to be more observant and aware of our environment, to spot both the large and little things that are usually either out of sight or out of mind and discover them whilst you still have the chance.

It is very important to be aware of your environment, as apart from just having greater knowledge of areas, your mental well-being benefits from exploration and discovery; urbex is a great gateway to furthering those horizons, with the thrill of finding unusual abandoned places especially when kept out of sight.
