Alfie Smith is a film-maker who has recently entered the field of directing from his background in sound & post-production.

His work over the past years has primarily been within non-fiction, experimenting with alternative forms of documentary. However, this year he has taken a step into working more on fiction work, with his roles in sound recording & post-production on “Girls Out Late”, a film directed by Eben Goode which follows the chaos of two rebellious girls at an oppressive boarding school.

Following on from this he progressed into directing an experimental fiction film “Ammonite”,  which follows the psyche of a young man who finds a discarded tape recorder on Chesil Beach in Dorset.
