My work often covers themes of mental health, overlooked histories, archive, and more often than not, animals. My comic ‘Laika’ was a close look at Laika the dog who was sent into space in the 1950s by the USSR. My comic explores a version of her character in which she did not die, but evolved to be more human – she was literally anthropomorphised, much like the cold war propaganda anthropomorphised her. My animated adaptation of Laika ‘Barker’ further explores her story and the irony of this propaganda. Lastly, my animation ‘The 9:22pm bus on Thursday the 27th November to Lutterworth” explores the state of public transport in the English countryside, and how someone may entertain themselves while waiting for a bus by appreciating the nature of the countryside. As an autistic artist, my work often also explores neurodivergence, and I have worked for Kingston University’s Autism Peer Network since 2022. I have previously been commissioned by Kingston Museum and the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford.

As an autistic artist, my special interests often motivate my practice. My work often explores animals and animal rights, as well as local history, public transport, mental health, and autism.
