In my project “AIRBNB” I look into the lifestyle of being a nomad, looking at how it has changed from it’s origin to how life as a nomad looks now. I begun to focus into how furniture of a nomad would look and how they would find comfort when being on the go. This led me to specify into either being a rural nomad or a digital, urban nomad. After researching both these pathways I found there was constant designs on each one specifically. Leading me to want to try and cater for them both, questioning myself ‘how can a nomad find comfort and seating where they are in an urban or rural environment’. To minimise excess material I chose to use a ratchet strap to act as chair legs using surrounding environment to be your legs and also be the strap so it can be carried around comfortably like the bag showing in the photos.
