Queer Typo Archive

The Queer Typo Archive is an open and collaborative collection of instances where typography has and will be made queer. It is a research project that engages with archives and encourages typographic experimentation as a form of learning. This ‘issue zero’ is a preliminary collection of case studies, typographic experiments and interviews with artists. It is designed and (hand)made as an edition of 28. It is also just the beginning, as the project exists in a more ongoing way, meaning there will be more editions produced, to create an ecosystem of publications, prints and more; an Archive of Queer Typography.

Exploring themes of language and communication; the queer experience and structures of dissemination through a process-driven practice of (experimental) typography, (radical) publishing and (informed) rule-breaking.
