At present, there are some shortcomings in the layout and overall environment of children’s injection rooms in China and Britain. This conceptual project combines the areas of illustration and child psychotherapy in an attempt to address the current problems in children’s injection rooms. The project includes a set of children’s waiting room, injection room and infusion room interior design, and a scene animation. During the injection, many children feel pain because they are focusing on the needle, and the tension causes the pain to intensify. Animation can effectively divert the attention of children during the injection, so as to reduce the pain. The interior design uses bright colors and cartoon shapes to create a warm atmosphere for children that is different from ordinary injection rooms. My project is only a conceptual design, but through this project, I want to appeal to the society and designers to pay more attention to the small but practical needs of children in their daily life, and put people first. I hope to make illustrations not only appear on paper, but also combine with other media.

As an illustrator, I feel honored to choose children and medical treatment, a very challenging subject for my graduation project. I made a set of concept interior design and concept animation of a children’s injection room to ease children’s fear of drug injection. I hope my project can attract the attention and thinking of designers!
