For my FMP, I have made 4 publications which look at how different locations have been affected and shaped by gentrification. I have also designed a key in the form of an accordion book which explains what the shapes mean. I have also produced 4 on site edited photographs where I cut out shapes to represent the levels and type of gentrification in these areas and what could happen to these areas in the future due to gentrification. My aim was to inform people on how places have developed due to gentrification and what the key identifiers of gentrification are. I decided to collage images using simple shapes to be able to unveil that although stereotypical gentrification may not be seen in an area, its footprint can be present, and the simple shapes make the complex process of gentrification easier to understand. The locations that I looked at were Tottenham, Hackney Wick, Notting Hill and Kings Cross.
