The ISO Series is a three-part collection of CNC-punched and folded sheet-metal furniture, suitable for both domestic and outdoor use.
The series is an investigation into the standardisation of industrial materials, specifically timber sections and one aluminium sheet (1000x2000mm), as well as their respective fabrication processes.
All pieces in the collection begin as one flat metal net, where the path of the CNC and placement of the cuts are systematically determined by the sizing of regular timber sections. Through working within the limitations imposed by these specifications, a new hybrid material typology is formed.
