Lucy Daniell is a multidisciplinary visual communicator who frequently works with book form and publication to document human experiences, both hypothetical and real. Her most recent authorial project tackles the limitations imposed by distance and examines British Columbia through the glitches of Google Earth. She explores how outdated information and fuzzy screens influence our perception and sense of place, even in an era of supposed hyper-connectivity. Through a combination of drawing, painting, and monoprint, she presents her restricted findings and emotional responses on relocation in publication form, underscoring her interest in the interplay between text and imageā€”a recurring theme in her work.
