My project ‘Invincible Body’ was inspired by my muse a Mexican female painter Frida Kahlo, who experienced 35 surgeries and suffered from various diseases, and used her feelings and imagination of pain to paint a still optimistic attitude toward life, breaking out of the cocoon like a butterfly. The project also combines Victorian costumes such as corsets, where women are bound and hurt by traditional costumes.
