A ring-bound type specimen created to display the outcomes made by participants in our typography workshop. The type specimen uses a calendar fold allowing you to flip between different letterforms creating new versions and combinations each time. The stand is made from greyboard, bound together with book cloth, and the cover is neon acrylic. The workshop which informed this type specimen aimed to combine a sense of community and collaboration into the typeface, designed as branding for the Whitechapel Road area. The participants used laser cut acrylic stencils that we made, borrowing patterns found in the area, to create letterforms.
