A contemporary interpretation of military uniforms formed through the referencing of authentic uniforms, camouflage and media that explores themes of military, focusing on the Polish show created in 1966 titled Four Tank-Men and a Dog. The collection comprises of traditional and contrastingly exaggerated elements including colour variations in print and military details that have been manipulated across the body. During the development process menswear garment blocks and references have been transformed into garments designed for women. Traditional dress practice within military is both, emphasized and challenged through textile development; a range of methods are displayed to create intentional creases subverting the clean, tidy appearance whilst quilting is utilised to present original referenced functional design. Through continuous drape and placement exploration, the proportions of features are well considered for an effective outcome where potential for product and new elements of interest are combined.
