My work originated from pixels, literally I was surrounded by pixels, you name it games, shows, movies, artworks. But more importantly it revolved around technology advancing, as I’ve thought technology can be both harmful and useful at the same time, for example wars (will get to that later), AI manipulation and the future for AI Robots. Also, thinking that quality over quantity is a huge factor anywhere, I viewed that in my work it also shows the amount of time spend on an artwork, as most of the paintings have around 5,000 to 50,000 painted pixels (estimate, but close), by hand.

In the last stages of my course,  I started to look at the outcome of the future and how technology is going to advance in the future, this was done by looking at some past events that had high advancement of technology and engineering, which I later used for my dissertation proposal and dissertation as well. The one that I looked at the most was the Sri Lankan Genocide as it was mostly was on news, at the time I was watching these news during the end of the war, so basically it was during when TV’s, which meant that it was harder to see the pictures as they it was mostly pixelated.

so in the end my art style, originated from TV pixels.
