This was inspired by the boxed brief by SCP, and is designed to be a product that the user would buy on a whim, and walk out of a shop carrying said product. I wanted to make a children’s hook that had a hidden element to it, which will help encourage them to hang up their clothes and items as when a weight is added to the hook, a shade goes down and the figurines behind the shades get shown. This can also be customised and the users can ‘claim’ a certain hook and make the figurine behind that shade theirs, one side of the facade can be coloured in or the users can leave the facade on the themed side.
The figurines can be swapped out for any item or photos dependant on what the users want, the facades can also be easily changed and different themes can be added to change with the childs interests as they grow up.
The main body of the hook is made from metal which allows the figurines and the facade to attach through magnets, strong enough to with-hold daily use, whilst still being easy to change out if needed.
A children’s clothing hook that helps to encourage them to clean and hang up their clothes by having a peek ‘a’ boo aspect to it.
