‘Imagine the Audience Naked’ is a mixed media animation that follows funk band Grog Machine as they walk out into the spotlight. Reuben uses digital media as well as pencil, pastel, acrylic paint, and colour pencil in this animated short film.
My name’s Reuben and I like to create strange and colourful animations. Since music and art have long been my parallel interests, ‘Imagine the Audience Naked’ takes the energy of my band’s recorded music (plus some extra musical tinkering) and uses various animation techniques to create a new surreal narrative.
