My main goal at the start of my FMP was to learn more about the beautiful sport of football and highlight the ways in which it enriches our lives. I am grateful for the experience of interviewing fans first hand and listening to their own experiences of match-going and supporting.
I really found enjoyment in discovering the capabilities of using printmaking in animation. Every print is guaranteed to be slightly different, so it creates a constantly moving energy. I thought this was perfect for representing the energy of a crowd at the football.
Football is an important part of my life and I loved doing this project on it. I feel that everyone deserves to experience the euphoria of being at a winning match- and the comradery in the crowd that comes with it. If that’s not what life’s all about, I don’t know what is!
