I am a multi-disciplinary artist who works in paintings, print making, drawings and a variety of different mediums and scale of the work. In the last year I have explored the use, and influence of natural textures and how they can be portrayed differently. Not only through not only different mediums but also different applications of the same medium. My most recent exploration of texture and scale can be seen in the paintings on show for my degree show. The textural exploration was through putting the unstretched canvas in a large bag before pouring in watered down acrylic paint and leaving it to chance to see what colours and textures could be achieved. Once I had stretched it I proceeded to layer different thicknesses of paint which I manipulated with pallet knives and the handles of paintbrushes.
