My final piece is an installation which incorporates variety of fallen flowers I have collected. These flowers I placed in between two layers of fabric, the bottom, a cream colour, and top layer, being translucent mesh- enabling the viewers to see the flowers. This sheet of fabric I stitched together and placed on the floor where the viewers have no choice but to walk on it.  My outcome speaks about temporality- having a durational aspect due to the flowers decaying and being trod on throughout the exhibition. Given the ephemeral nature of the flowers, each day the appearance of my work will continuously change due to organic processes which are beyond anyone’s control. As such viewers become witness to the work’s inevitable decay and decomposition.
